While wine may still be the drink of choice for many -- and swanky, retro inspired cocktails are making a comeback -- trend watchers are betting that craft and micro- brew beers will be the "next big thing" in adult beverages. Always on trend, Chan Cox has created the Destin Beer Festival to help “elevate” the craft beer movement. On September 28th you can enjoy small batch microbrews and craft beer from more than 40 different breweries. Local favorites like Grayton Beer and the Pensacola Bay Brewery will be represented, as well as some larger more national breweries like Sweetwater and Sam Adams. Tickets are available online ($35 general admission and $50 VIP. The VIP ticket gives guests early admission and access to a special VIP hospitality tent). Tickets are also available day of the event. Proceeds from the event will benefit Children in Crisis, which provides emergency shelter for children removed from unsafe housing and living situations. Children in Crisis aims to keep families together and supports the Children's Neighborhood, a state of the art housing complex for kids needing both temporary and long-term care. The Fourth Annual Destin Beer festival will be held outside Wine World in the Paradise Key Shopping Center from 2-5 PM on September 28th. Once you find a new favorite beer, be sure to give our partners at Deliver My Wine a call to have it delivered to your vacation home.
