"Rosemary grows wild in Florida’s South Walton county, but it’s not the only Rosemary worth admiring along the marvelous Florida coast. Rosemary Beach is a planned community on the east end of famed highway 30A. Rosemary Beach is an example of New Urbanism, a concept spawned by its neighbor a few miles down 30A, Seaside.

Rosemary Beach is designed for ease of living. Boardwalks and footpaths lead to salient features, whether a park, plaza, tennis court or pool. Shops and restaurants in Rosemary Beach are a great attraction. Rosemary Beach also has fountain heads that children seem to love and congregate around.

Rosemary Beach is on the east end of 30A, right off of Highway 98 which is a short drive to Panama City. This allows Rosemary Beach goers to trek into a bit more up tempo environment, and Panama City offers that. The newly added Pier Park in Panama City has become a popular place to shop or catch a movie.

Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach communities are side by side and both offer something everyone who flocks to South Walton county is well aware of… the finest beaches in the world. Rosemary beach has wonderful access to the emerald waters of the Gulf and the white sandy shoreline beckons. Most are content to lie out under the sun but for those Rosemary Beach goers who wish to, excellent snorkeling opportunities exist in the Gulf.

Rosemary Beach, in adherence to its New Urbanism approach, has its own post office on site. Everything is within walking distance and with the weather and the extraordinary architecture on display; a walk is a great way to take it all in. Rosemary Beach has an exercise trail in addition to what every beach community has along 30A, a hiking/biking path.

The path parallels 30A for 18 miles and passes through communities and forests alike. The views from the path are breathtaking. Just west of Rosemary Beach is the first of a number of dune lakes along highway 30A. Camp Creek Lake is one of the largest dune lakes along 30A and as with the other dune lakes it travels right up to the Gulf.

Also just west of Rosemary Beach is a fabulous golf course, Camp Creek Golf Club. The course takes advantage of the same terrain as Rosemary Beach and also creates an unmistakable beauty along its 18 holes. Esthetically speaking, it all fits so well.

Rosemary Beach residents and visitors alike all agree, this is a special place. It is easy to fall into such a relaxed state here that time seems to exist somewhere else. Relaxation can become an art form at Rosemary Beach. Whether sitting next to the incoming waves, watching a sunset or star filled night, or dining in at one of the fabulous restaurants there, Rosemary Beach has a way about it.

The forests and Gulf waters that surround Rosemary Beach make Nature your neighbor. The highway systems and nearby International airport in Panama City make it all so easily accessible. Rosemary Beach, like the Rosemary that grows within the rolling white sand dunes, is something to be treasured."
