7 Events Happening In Destin Over Veterans Day Weekend
Veterans Day Weekend is quickly approaching and Destin has so many local events going on this weekend. If you’re visiting the Emerald Coast this weekend, check out these local events!
1. Hurricane Michael Rebound Concert
While it’s been about a month since Hurricane Michael hit Florida’s panhandle, PCB and the surrounding areas are still struggling to get back on their feet. Show your support for the victims of Hurricane Michael and head to Grayton Beer Company on Friday, November 9th from 6 pm to 9 pm for a relief concert. PCB native, Will Thompson Music, is the local singer/songwriter/musician/producer performing at the free benefit concert. In addition, Grayton Beer Company is a pet-friendly and kid-friendly environment, so everyone is welcome here! Furthermore, all donations will benefit Hurricane Michael relief efforts in the Bay County area.
2. Panhandle Paddle Classic
Fall is one of the best times of year to go paddleboarding in Destin. The waves are calmer and the water is a beautiful clear shade of emerald green. The Panhandle Paddle Classic, held at East Jetty Condominiums, is a great way to practice your paddleboarding skills and compete for prizes. Additionally, the Panhandle Paddle Classic benefits the Green Beret Foundation, which supports special forces operators and their families in times of need. Register here!
3. Destin Vets 5K Run/Walk
Celebrate Veterans Day with the Destin Vets 5K Run/Walk with the American Legion Destin Post on Saturday morning. Registration is only $30 and there will be an afterparty at the American Legion with a 50/50 raffle, food, and beer. In addition, all proceeds go towards Team RWB, Building Homes for Heroes, and Main Street Community Garden. Register for the race today!
4. Emerald Coast Honor Games

6. Cheers for Charity
In addition to the Hurricane Michael Rebound Concert on Friday, stop by Cheers for Charity on Saturday at The Boardwalk in Fort Walton. All proceeds go towards Panhandle Prayers and Pawsitive Love Foundation. Additionally, don’t miss out on the Veteran’s Day firework show at night. Buy your tickets here!
