Eglin Air Force Base in Niceville will host its 11th annual Bob Hope Memorial Charity Golf Classic. The event acts as The Air Force Enlisted Village's major local fundraising event and will take place on May 16 and 17. Golfers will get to experience the serene beauty offered up by the 6,869 yard Falcon course. The event will kick off at noon on May 16 and a second round will take place at 8:30 am on May 17. Prizes will be offered to the winning teams, the Longest Drive contest winner, and the Closest to the Pin winner. An opportunity to win prizes for hole-in-ones is also available thanks to the sponsor Sam Taylor Buick Cadillac. The two day tournament carries along a registration fee of $150 per person, which includes green fees, golf cart, range balls, a commemorative coin, a goody bag, on-course refreshments, and lunch for both days. Come out and support this great cause this upcoming weekend! The AFEV is a nonprofit organization near Eglin and Hurlburt Field that provides a home for surviving spouses of former military heroes and to mothers of current active duty and retired military members.
