Alys Beach, an Architectual Experience

Some communities can be passed through unnoticed. Alys Beach is not one of them. Without a doubt, your attention is focused when traveling through this area. But why travel through Alys Beach when you can stay?

What catches your eyes as you travel down the famed highway 30A, even before the unique architectural dwellings of Alys Beach are visible, are the glorious palm trees that line 30A. It all starts at Alys Beach. Something else that will attract your eye is the stunning white homes of Alys Beach which capture a Mediterranean feel of unmistakable beauty.

Alys Beach, like Seaside to its west and Rosemary Beach to its east, was developed with the concept of New Urbanism. The community was planned for perfect living. Life is easy in Alys Beach and everything one could desire is available there.

Alys Beach was designed with location in mind. Alys Beach resides with a backdrop that has captivated all who have laid eyes upon it. The emerald Gulf waters and fluffy white sand draw visitors from far and wide. But Alys Beach, along with its neighboring communities along 30A share something in common. A relaxed feel. You won’t find skyscrapers that dot the coastline horizon in other beach communities. Alys Beach is designed for the resident but kept Nature in mind.

The entire span of 30A shares this quality. A state forest runs along highway 30A, state parks predominate the area, and rare dune lakes are near. Nature is everywhere. And when you consider that more marine life sits at the border of Alys Beach, you can see why such a community was built here. Location. Location. Location.

Alys Beach has a coffee shop, a book store and a neat little park that will have kids smiling. The entire community was built with green in mind. Homes were built in a way to optimize energy which naturally reduces energy costs as well. Aside from this and the fact that the homes are beautiful, Alys Beach residences also were built far above existing codes which allows for them to qualify for a special insurance program.

Alys Beach also took advantage of the surrounding terrain to create a wonderful hiking trail that meanders through woods and waters. The wooden pathway carries the hiker through the woods and around through some breathtaking scenery, including that of Alys Beach itself.

The path passes behind the Caliza Pool which evokes a sense of passion, just by its design. The luxuriousness of Alys Beach is evident here, as elsewhere, and the restaurant at poolside is second to none.

Alys Beach, while having everything you could desire on site, with growth to be sustainable and quaint, is near much more should you desire. Other 30A communities, including Rosemary Beach and Seaside are attractions in their own right. And should the Alys Beach resident or visitor want to head into a city-like atmosphere, Destin or Panama City are a stone’s throw away.

Alys Beach is unique and it shares itself with something else unique… 30A. Along the beaches of 30A you will not find the commercialism of other beach communities. In fact, it creates a feel from a different time. Yet it is here, and now, at Alys Beach.
