All eyes may have been on New York Fashion Week recently, but come the weekend of October 11-13, South Walton's emerging fashion scene will take center stage (or runway). South Walton Fashion Week, presented by Visit South Walton in conjunction with Monark Events, Grand Boulevard, and the Cultural Arts Alliance, celebrates high fashion, rising designers, and local boutiques with a weekend full of fashion shows, parties, and VIP shopping opportunities. Held at the Town Center at Grand Boulevard, South Walton Fashion Week benefits the Arts in Education Program of the Cultural Arts Alliance. The Cultural Arts Alliance is dedicated to cultivating an atmosphere of creativity, and to putting South Walton on the map as a creative place to live, work, and play. South Walton Fashion Week begins Friday, October 11th with a VIP cocktail party. The runway shows begin at 7:00pm. The fun kicks off on Saturday morning with a number of trunk shows, and then a pre-party sponsored by Silver Sands Factory Outlet Stores that evening. Runway shows Saturday also begin at 7:00pm. "Sunday Sunday" focuses on fashions for kids, tweens, and teens, with a family-friendly fashion show. Advance tickets are available online now, and you can purchase a weekend pass that gets you into all the fun as well. While many people think of shorts, bathing suits and flip-flops when they think of South Walton, they'll be thinking high heels and bespoke designs after fashion week.
