Five Star Properties is proud to announce that this November their Director of Housekeeping, Amy Demoreski, was awarded “Vacation Rental Executive Housekeeper of the Year” by Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professionals (VRHP). Demoreski has been working at Five Star Properties for five years where she manages all aspects of housekeeping for the luxury vacation rental company of over 200 properties and a housekeeping staff of over 100 people. She has demonstrated excellence in leadership, dedication, and communication in her achievement of this honorable award.
“It is an incredible honor to be nationally recognized,” said Demoreski. She was presented the award at the 2016 VRHP National Seminar in Las Vegas, NV this past Monday.
VRHP is a professional organization that provides industry updates, educational opportunities, and certification programs to those involved in the housekeeping department of the vacation rental industry. They have a membership of over 400 companies.
Demoreski’s colleagues at Five Star Properties gave praise to her outstanding performance as the Director of Housekeeping. “Amy is not just a housekeeping professional, she is a housekeeping pioneer,” said Louisa Baldock, Five Star Properties, VP of Sales and Marketing. Demoreski has taken the initiative to improve processes and implement new standards within her department that have helped improve the business as a whole. She has kept turnover low within her department and establishes good rapport with each member of her department. “I’ve worked at Five Star for about three years,” said one seasonal housekeeper, “and Amy is one of the reasons I keep coming back.”
