The spirit of the holiday season inspires people to be more thoughtful, more grateful, and more generous. At Five Star Beach Properties we’ve been touched by the holiday spirit, so we've helped Food For Thought get closer to their goal of feeding over 300 families this Thanksgiving and Christmas.
For every employee that Five Star has, we made a donation. In total we were able to provide meals for 50 families! We know the joy that comes from sharing meals with loved ones during the holidays, and we hope that the families we’ve supported with Food For Thought are able to experience that joy, too.
Food For Thought is a not-for-profit organization in Santa Rosa Beach, FL that provides food for students who are dependent on free or reduced school meals. According to the U.S. Census Bureau 19.3% of Walton County residents live below the poverty level as of 2013 statistics. Some of these children rely on school lunches as their only meal of the day, but that’s where Food For Thought puts out a helping hand.
